What is our Calorie Killer Class?
Twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm we host a Calorie Killer Class. This class is designed to help those interested in focusing on weight loss and core strength achieve their goals. Alone its a great way to get started into fitness or as an addition to your current training program.
Anyone is welcome to attend! This class is 100% free to all current CrossFit Per Ardua Members and just $100 for 12 classes for non-members.
If you are not a member of CFPA, you will be set up with an online booking application that acts as a digital punch card. You are guaranteed 12 classes as the card never expires and this class is on-going. So even if you miss a couple, you can still make it up.
What are the classes like?
Classes are programmed to start with a 5-10 minute dynamic warm up, followed by 35-45 minutes of steady work. The goal of these classes isn’t to go as hard as possible, we don’t score or keep track of rounds or keep time of any individuals workout. The goal is to sweat and keep a steady, constant pace with a variety of movements to keep things interesting. Movements are scaleable and super effective!
What will we be doing?
We will utilize many of the same movements and methodology that we do in CrossFit, while keeping the weights very light, and the skill level of each movement low. No high intensity olympic weight lifting or gymnastics. A strong focus on cardiovascular endurance, core and midline stability, balance, stamina and agility. You do not have to be a skilled CrossFitter to attend these classes, but if you are they are an amazing addition to your training.
If you are looking to sweat, work at a pace that doesn’t leave you on your knees at the end of the class and really work to burn extra calories, then this class is for you!
Workouts will be based around interval training, the best way to sweat and are scientifically proven to burn the most amount of calories in the shortest amount of time! Instead of walking on a treadmill for 45 minutes staring at a television, join us for a fun and exciting class that will actually give you MUCH more bang for your buck! Not to mention help you build up some great midline strength and stability.

Box Step Up and Overs
Bulgarian Split Squats

Very Light Barbell Movements
Skipping (forward and reverse)
Planks and Bridges including FLR with Rings
Weighted Carries such as Farmer Carry, Front Rack KB carry, Overhead Carry
Sit Ups, V-Sups, Hollow Rocks, Dragon Flags
Box work, step ups, step overs
Burpees (We know, you hate them. But remember that this class is not meant to be super high intense. So take your time!)
Medicine Ball Work
Sled and Box Pushing
